We ask our guests to comply with these rules and regulations to ensure that everyone will have a good time. Non-compliance may result in losing your booking and being asked to leave the premises.


Please note, everyone in the venue after 8pm must be over the age of 18 and have their ID on them at all times.

We accept driver or rider licenses and permits issued within Australia, Australian and International passports and proof of age cards. We do not accept any form of international drivers license.


Please note; Red Herring does not allow minors or under 18's in the venue after 8pm Sunday - Thursday, and 5pm Friday - Saturday. Unaccompanied minors are permitted entry to the venue prior to 3pm. However, between 3pm-8pm Sunday - Thursday and 3pm-5pm Friday - Saturday, under 18's MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult.

While unaccompanied under 18's are welcome prior to 8listed times (after 3pm must have accompanying adult) escape rooms are not suitable for children under 12 (due to theme and puzzle difficulty).

If there is anyone under the age of 15 they must have an adult present in the escape room with them. 

Unaccompanied minors or under 18's are permitted until 3pm each day. All minors or under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. No minors are allowed in the venue after the listed times.

Crown Rewards

Red Herring is equipped with Crown Rewards Terminals. Points can be added to your Crown Rewards card for all purchases made in our venue at the time of purchase only, in line with Crown Rewards rules and conditions.

Pre-booked sessions, including online bookings, can be added to your Crown Rewards card, but this must be completed during your scheduled visit. Please make staff aware that you wish to complete a Crown Rewards transaction when you arrive at the venue.

Responsible Adult

A responsible adult is defined as a person who is over the age of 18 years and is:

  • a parent, step-parent or guardian of the minor
  • the minor’s spouse or de facto partner
  • for the time being, standing in as the parent of the minor.
A person standing in as the parent could include a relative such as a grandparent, aunt/uncle, or a person in charge of an organised sporting or school group.
